Michael Ashcroft and representatives for Jeffrey Prosser today called us to dispute claims made yesterday in a release by the Sunrise Group, Belizean Telecommunication executives, who want to buy controlling interests in BTL.

A senior executive at the Weston Group, which is basically Prosser's bankers, was scathing. He told us that ICC never had discussions with the Sunrise Group about partnering with them and added that, "we have never offered them our stock at any point." He added that," the continued attempt by the Sunrise/Musa/Ashcroft consortium will not prevail under any circumstances given the court victories in Miami."

As for Ashcroft he called News Director Jules Vasquez to say that Sunrise approached him to find out if he'd lend them money. He claims he replied that he is prepared to listen to any proposal but at this point, he has received none. He says the only concrete thing he told them is that he does have the money they need, but would need to see how they would spend it first.
