Gas Prices Soar to $9.05

Gas prices shot up to new highs across the country at midnight last night and believe it or not but the cost of a gallon of gas is over the $9 mark in some parts of the country. Premium gas rose by a uniform 6 cents across the country, meaning residents in Punta Gorda will now pay a record $9.05 per gallon. In the city, a gallon of premium will now cost you $8.85 which is up from $8.79. Regular gas increased by 8 cents to $8.52. The price of diesel jumped 23 cents from $6.18 to $6.41. The price of kerosene was increased to 22 cents. Those prices are for Belize City and prices vary by district. The highest price we found was in Punta Gorda.
