Leo DiCaprio Buys Part of Belize

When he came to Belize in August of last year it was as a tourist but the next time Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio comes to Belize, he will be coming home. It appears the star actor enjoyed his first trip because he is spending US$1.75 million to own a small part of Belize, 104 acres to be exact. Reports are that Leo DiCaprio has purchased Blackadore Caye and is planning on creating an eco-friendly resort.

Blackadore was sold in a private transaction by Emerald Futures Real Estate and all the government stands to collect is the stamp duty on the sale.

Blackadore Caye is located west of Ambergris Caye and is a 20-minute boat ride from San Pedro Town.
