PUC Says OK To BEL

Today the Public Utilities Commission made its initial decision in respect to BEL's Annual Tariff Review submission. BEL had recommended that no changes be made to the Mean Electricity Rate, which is currently at $0.3699 per kilowatt hour. The PUC had previously suggested a reduction to $0.3692 per kilowatt hour, however it decided that the 0.19% decrease was too insignificant to have any impact on the tariffs and approved BEL's suggestion. Bottom line for you? No change in the electricity rate.
