Last night, we told you that there was a sneaky fuel price increase on Premium gas and Kerosene.

Well, tonight, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise is announcing that the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, known locally as "butane" will increase by 33 cents per gallon.

As of midnight tonight, the retail price in urban communities will be $136 for a 100-hundred-pound cylinder. In rural areas, the price for that same 100-pound cylinder will be $2 dollars extra.

Lennox Nicholson, the Controller of Supplies, explained this change saying, quote, "These prices reflect an increase of 33 cents per gallon for the current shipment, resulting primarily from an increase in the acquisition price for both propane and butane." End quote.
