Taiwanese Dollars to Close The Deficit

And while the budget projects sustained growth - it's got a major overall deficit - a total of 98.1 million dollars.

And coming to the rescue to bridge most of that gap once again is Belize's #1 ally - and that's the Taiwanese. The PM explained:

"The point is, we are bridging the deficit and the way we are bridging the deficit is, one, by grants which our good friends from Taiwan are helping us with some grants and secondly from the cap 3 funding when the US comes in and then we will also be issuing some treasury notes and bills, between those three factors we will be able to close the deficit."
