Arrest in Teenage Girl's Murder

With the assistance of villagers in Libertad and Concepcion, police have pieced together the brutal murder of 16-year-old Elia Gonzalez.

They today laid charges on the man they believe is responsible. 26-year-old Concepcion villager Kenrick Williams was today charged with murder.

As we had reported Gonzalez was raped and strangled on Tuesday afternoon as she was making her way home from the Concepcion cut off to Libertad village in the Corozal district. Williams was found shortly after when he tried to sell her ring for a few dollars.
