Traffic Accident claims another life

A 69 year old resident of Ladyville village was knocked down and killed yesterday evening. At about 6:20, 34 year old Susan Moir was traveling to Belize City and between miles 9 and 10 on the Northern Highway she knocked down Eulogio Perez. Moir told police that she tried unsuccessfully to avoid Perez who was crossing the road. Perez was rushed to the KHMH but died as a result of the injuries he received. Moir has been charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct and driving without due care and attention.
