To some he was simply "Dr. Ray", to others, he was the "Butcher of South Beach," and to the U.S. he is one of their most wanted. Well you can call Reynaldo de la Concepcion Silvestre Manzini, a.k.a., Ray Castanedas what you want, but tomorrow you'll have to say it a lot louder because he's leaving on a jet plane.

Appearing today in Magistrate's Court, Silvestre waived his extradition hearing and agreed to return to the United States to face charges for practicing medicine without a license, aggravated battery, and administering narcotics illegally. This notorious quack was picked up by Belize police on Thursday October 7th on a provisional warrant issued by the U.S. government. Silvestre had been living in Belize since 2000 and was an instructor of anatomy at a medical school in Burrell Boom.

Silvestre reportedly agreed to go back to the U.S. because he was unhappy with the conditions at the Hattieville prison. He should get his wish tomorrow when he signs the paperwork and he will be shuttled to Miami in the company of the FBI via a chartered jet.
