At news time last night police had not identified the victim of a stabbing incident on Gibnut Street but tonight the victim has been identified. He is 43-year-old Andres Torres of a Mahogany Street address. As we had reported in last night's newscast Torres was riding his bicycle in the area when we became involved in an altercation with another man when he was attacked and stabbed. Police have since detained another Hispanic man for questioning.
And in another update, last night we reported that there were shots on Dolphin Street. While witnesses told us there were no injuries, police are reporting that 35-year-old Eddison Diego was injured. Diego told police he was riding his bike on Dolphin Street when upon reaching in front of Belize Dry Cleaner's he was hit by a bullet to the upper right side of his back. Diego was treated for his injuries at the shooter and police are now searching for the shooter.
