Last night we reported on a double homicide at Chalillo Dam's Housing Site. Police today confirmed the incident and have laid charges on the man believed to be the shooter. 45 year old Honduran National and Anchor Security Guard Isidro Rafael Juarez has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder. At around 2:15 on Saturday morning Juarez and another security guard, 24 year old Lorencio Vanegas were on duty at the housing site when according to Juarez the two guards tried to quell a drunken disturbance. Soon enough, the guards found themselves under attack by a group of men which is when Juarez fired a warning shot and he resorted to firing two shots into the crowd. 22-year-old Salvadoran National Santos Canales and 17-year-old Vicente Garcia were killed while 17-year-old Arturo Wong and another man Salvador Paz were also injured, Wong to the left calf and Perez to the right arm. Juarez was yesterday charged with two counts of murder.
