Tonight, the outlook is not any better for gunshot victim, Loren Augustus. Last night, the 31 year old was transferred from Universal Hospital to the KHMH. Tonight he is in the Intensive Care Unit at that hospital still on life support and in a critical condition. The bullet, believed to be from a.22 caliber pistol, remains lodged in the center of his brain. It cannot be surgically removed and is causing his brain to bleed and swell, a situation that doctors say they can do very little to remedy.

As we reported, Augustus was shot, execution style, as he rode home from work at the Municipal Airstrip on Tuesday evening. Police have not charged anyone in connection with the shooting. He is a single parent with custody of his two sons who have now been taken in by their mother with whom his family claims he had a custody dispute.
