He was gunned down as he worked under a car and today one of his accused killers walked. Twenty seven year old Roger Anthony, one of two men who had been charged with the murder of mechanic Lloyd Bodden appeared in Magistrate's Court number four today. Presiding Magistrate Sharon Frazer, who is holding over for Magistrate Margaret Gabb McKenzie, withdrew murder and conspiracy charges against Anthony on instruction of the Director of Public Prosecution. A charge of conspiracy to commit murder was also withdrawn from his alleged accomplice 20 year old Mark Alamilla.
And while he no longer faces that conspiracy charge, Alamilla does still face murder charges and is to reappear in court for the start of a preliminary investigation on December 29th to determine if a prima facie case has been established against him.
On February 10th of this year Bodden was working on a vehicle in front of his home on Ebony Street when his assailants rode up on him and shot him several times, reportedly to settle a score for a previous verbal misunderstanding.
