Last night we told you about the violent home invasion at a Mile 8 Western Highway residence. Well, late this evening police threw a slew of charges on four young men for the crime. 18-year-old Jovan Tillet, 22-year-old Kevin Graham, 18-year-old Dwayne Almendarez, and a 16 year old have been jointly charged for attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, wounding, dangerous harm, aggravated burglary, and use of deadly means of harm. All four will be formally arraigned before a Magistrate tomorrow morning.
As we reported, on Monday night four men wearing masks and armed stormed into a farmhouse where Leevan and Anthony Lewis were sleeping. Both brothers were tied, beaten, and gagged. Leevan escaped with a bruise to the back while Anthony was shot in his head. He is tonight listed in a stable condition and his family told us he is now able to talk with them.
This evening police reiterated that they strongly believe the incident was drug related. Two of the accused are from Belize City.
