78-Year-Old Man Charged for Molesting 9-year-old Girl

A 78-year-old man was today arraigned before Magistrate's Court where he was charged for aggravated assault of a 9-year-old girl.

The girl reported to police that on Monday March 12 she was walking on Faber's Road when she stopped at a store to buy chips. She claims that instead of serving her the attendant at the time 78-year-old Edelmiro Oliva touched her on her left breast.

That amounted to aggravated assault and Oliva was charged, was offered and met bail in the sum of $1,600. He is to reappear on April 16th.
