Late yesterday evening news broke about a Hispanic female found murdered in Ladyville. The victim is 20-year-old Cruz Sho and she was stabbed, tied up, and possibly sexually assaulted during a home invasion robbery that ended in her murder. The murder becomes even more shocking because the victim's husband says she was three months pregnant. But was she? Keith Swift has the story from old well road in Ladyville.

Keith Swift Reporting,
Cruz Sho lived here with her common-law husband Eldon Chiac. The last time he saw her alive was at 2:45 yesterday afternoon when he left home to do his runs in this small he operates. He believes his wife's killers attacked her moments after he left.

Eldon Chiac, Husband of Deceased
"As they saw me left, it looks like they were outside. What usually happens is that my common-law wife usually goes to buy around 4 to 4:30 by El Cas and it looks like when she opened the door and came out, that's when they attacked her and they forced her inside back. That's where they started to rob the place."

In doing the bandits ransacked the place but that wasn't all they did to the 20 year old woman who was 3 months pregnant.

Eldon Chiac,
"They tied her up, both hands and both feet, and then after that they got what they wanted."

Keith Swift,
You said they got what they wanted, what was that?

Eldon Chiac,
"Money and things from the house."

Eldon Chiac believes his common-law wife of three years was killed by the robbers because she knew them. The tragedy has devastated Eldon Chiac.

Eldon Chiac,
"Its like my whole life just went off. She didn't harm anybody, she doesn't fool around with anybody and they just wanted to thief. They should have just took what they wanted and they shouldn't have killed her because she didn't do anything."

And it has also outraged this small community on old well road in Ladyville. Delroy Dawson lives in the area and didn't know Cruz Sho personally but he is concerned.

Delroy Dawson, Area Resident
"I am very concerned as a citizen of this area, knowing that this area is not an area known to be an area where somebody would just come and kill somebody, walk in their home and just kill somebody, especially a mother. What I have to say is that whosever did that thing, I just want to say to them that let them give in themselves before the police catch them."

And catching them is the job left to head of the Ladyville police sub-formation Chris Noble.

Chris Noble, Ladyville Police
"At this stage we have persons that we are looking for but nobody to my knowledge has been detained."

A post mortem was conducted on Sho this afternoon which certified the cause of death as a stab wound to her neck. And though her common-law husband of three years, Eldon Chiac swore that his wife was pregnant, police pathologist Dr. Mario Estradabran said that with medical certainty - Cruz Sho was not pregnant. Police are awaiting the results of tests to certify if she was sexually assaulted. Shortly after the murder - police detained two suspects.
