Jules Vasquez,
Here is Mr. Jeffries attacking. He is walking away and the little switch trips. I have to say that because he comes towards our cameraman, we aren't even advancing. See he have a view from another camera. Fortunately we were able to get it.
Alex Ellis, our camera man was standing still and Mr. Jeffries goes to him and simply arrests him for no reason, the man has the camera on his shoulder. This is a muzzling of the press, he wasn't doing anything. This is his systematic lunacy brings to it and his superiors are happy with this. The Minister of Home Affairs is happy with this. He likes this bulldog activity, especially when it relates to muzzling the press and particularly when it relates to harassing and victimizing Channel 7. That is what Crispin Jeffries is doing here. Look now he comes back goes he after Keith. Keith has the camera and now Alfonso Noble, he slaps Alfonso Noble with the club across his jaw.
This man is out of control, this is the press. This is a free and democratic country. What is wrong with this man? This is one of the grossest and most hideous abuse of power that I have seen.
Thirty minutes later Alex Ellis was able to get out and I had to call in my favors, I had to call a lot of people. The Commissioner of Police was one of the people I called. Dean Barrow was in there trying to get him out. I had to call a couple Ministers to try and see if I can get him. There he is walking out with his father.
What we are seeing there is that Mr. Jeffries wanted to talk to him and he spoke to Alex Ellis who is a straightforward young man and not a trouble maker. If I was out there, I could say well I would make trouble with Mr. Jeffries. But this young man has recently started working with us and Mr. Jeffries just zoned in on him and switch tripped and then he has a talk with him and has the audacity to say that, 'our paths will cross again' and gives a boy's school lecture. The leader of the Opposition Dean Barrow, who I had begged to try help us get him out, sitting in on that little sermon that he gave. At any rate, Crispin Jeffries 101 - we are all entertained by it.
