Justice Adolph Lucas called them "worthless and wicked", the DPP said they "turned" on the prosecution, and tonight four police officers who got selective amnesia at yesterday's trial of Ben Bou-Nahra (Abou-Nehra) are under police investigation and public scrutiny.
The Commissioner of Police sent out a press release this morning saying that he ordered the Internal Affairs Department to start an investigation from yesterday afternoon. Still, he says, he has to wait for the result before he jumps to judgement.
But those who saw or heard what happened in the courtroom don't need that evidence. What we will call a shameful display was proof enough that the rule of law was seriously compromised in that courtroom.
