He had a lawless spree in the city and surrounding areas yesterday and 19 year Mansa Obi, a gas attendant of Neal’s Pen Road went to court today. First, he was charged for the robbery of Belkis Caceres Sosa. She is the manager of the Bakadeer Inn. At 3:00 pm, he confronted her on Cleghorn Street, stole her purse with $50 and her car, an $8,0000 Nissan Altima.
55 minutes later, he barrelled out of Mercy Lane unto Princess Margaret Drive and crashed in to two parked vehicles, including this Toyota Camry but he was only charged for hitting one of them, a Toyota Prado. For that he got a count of driving without due care an attention.
That’s when police started chasing him which led unto the Western Highway where he fired 12 to 14 shots at the pursuing officers. For that he was charged with 6 counts of aggravated assault. He started shooting at mile 8 and at mile 12, he ran off the road in the stolen car. That’s where police caught him with a 9 milimeter pistol with one live round. For that he was charged with keeping a firearm and ammunition without a license.
Though he was caught at the scene, he pleaded not guilty on all counts and was remanded until July 18th.
