Mother Says Adopted Parents Abused Her Daughter

A couple is tonight under investigation for abusing their adopted daughter. A 35 year old mother from Hopkins Village, whose name police have asked us not to release, told police that three months ago the Human Development Department took away her 2 year old daughter. The child was placed in the care of a foster couple who live on the Stann Creek Valley Road. She should have gotten better care, but her biological mother says that on Friday September 5th – her daughter was admitted to the KHMH suffering from a fractured skull – after being allegedly beaten by her adoptive parents. Police are investigating.
