There are two more burglaries to report. The first is the theft of a laptop from – of all places - the Director Public Prosecution’s Office on Hyde’s Lane.
The DPP’s secretary Estelle Mossiah reported to police that between 5 on Sunday evening and 7:25 on Monday morning, someone broke into the office and stole a laptop valued at $4,000.
Our investigation revealed that the culprits accessed the building by squeezing through an area in the front portion. They then walked on one of the metal strips within the building’s enclosure to get to the DPP’s secretary’s office. They had to remove the louvers to get it and they then stole only the laptop valued at $4,000.
What was so special on the laptop that they just had to get it? That’s what we were wondering but we were unable to reach the DPP for comment.
