Police say these men are the ones who orchestrated and executed a daring armed invasion of the Customs Department’s headquarters in the early morning of tenth September. And from the arrests we can tell you that the investigators have concluded that it was an inside job – allegedly done with the collusion of Customs security personnel.

They are 18 year old Kendis Flowers with the white shirt over his head, followed by Customs Security Guard 25 year old Alpheus Nicholas, and former Magistrate’s Court employee 24 year old Brian Young with a shirt buttoned over his head, followed lastly by Dion Gentle a Customs guard, who has on the hat. The man in the purple shirt is unrelated to the crime. Not pictured in that group is 24 year old Dario Criuiqshank who investigators say was also one of the conspirators. Police found a weapon at Cruiqshank’s home on Thursday and he pleaded guilty to possession and is already serving a two year sentence.

The Customs guard Gentle, along with Flowers, Young and Criuiqshank are all charged with aggravated burglary. Flowers – who was the one found running from the scene by police was charged with keeping a prohibited firearm, specifically an AK-47 rifle loaded with 23 rounds. Nicholas, the security guard who was on duty was charged for abetment to commit aggravated burglary. All four were remanded to the Hattieville prison. Nicholas says he was doing his job and was even shot at but police detained him based on a text message that was found on one of the other culprit’s cell phone.
