The first victim was 28 year old vegetable vendor Osmin Ellis Garrido. Shortly after 3 pm, Garrido was standing near the Queen’s Square Market at the corner of Iguana Street and West Collet Canal when he was attacked by an armed robber. Garrido ran and that is when the robber shot him in the back. Police say they have one suspect detained and are looking for a second. Garrido is admitted to ward in a stable condition.

Two hours after Garrido was shot, there was another shooting in the city. This one occurred at the corner of Supal Street and Kut Avenue. 28 year old Dewayne Lopez says that at around 5:20 he was standing at the corner of Supal Street and Kut Avenue when he heard several shots. One of those shots hit him in the back. Lopez was rushed to the KHMH and underwent surgery. He is also in a stable condition.

The third shooting victim was 35 year old Aaron Casanova. He told police that at around 12:45 this morning he was walking near his home on Queen Charlotte Street when a car drove by and a gunman inside opened fire. Casanova was hit in the leg and also got a small cut on the right hand. Police as they say are investigating all three shootings – but could not say if they are related.
