Contractor Charged for Attempted Rape

43 Year old Dean Perez Sr., a building contractor from Rancho Dolores was charged with burglary and intent to commit rape when he appeared in Magistrate’s Court today. Police say that on Friday December 18th he broke into a home with the intent to rape a 17 year old girl. He got so far as to touch the girl while he was in the room.

Perez pleaded not guilty today and his family claims that the teenager fabricated the story because she was having an affair with Perez and a member of her family saw him in the room with her. Nonetheless, the prosecutor objected to bail on the ground that he might interfere with the young lady, but his attorney successfully argued that the offences are bailable and adjourned his case until January, 2010.
