She is the mother of a four month old baby but tonight 23 year old Marsha Gabourel is in jail. She was charged today for allegedly stabbing her common law husband – 26 year old Elvis Hope.
Hope, who is still hospitalized, told police that he and Marsha got into an argument at around 7:30 on Sunday night at their home. The quarrel was reportedly because Hope took too long to assist Gabourel with the clothesline. Hope says that is when Gabourel pulled out a knife and stabbed him on his left buttocks and left armpit.
Today in court she was charged with dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. No plea was taken because the matters are indictable. Because the court could not ascertain Elvis Hope’s condition, Magistrate Aretha Ford denied Marsha Gabourel bail and remanded her to the Hattieville Prison until Friday.
