He was a former police constable accused of selling land that wasn’t his, but 42 year old Vidal Campos has been cleared of that charge. The case was struck out in the Magistrate’s Court for want of prosecution because the case file was unavailable.

Campos was charged in September of last year based on an allegation that he pawned a lot in Hopkins Village for thirty thousand dollars. Only problem was that – police claimed – the lot did not belong to him. Constantino Palacio told the police that the lot belonged to his brother who resides in the United States.

That was the claim, but somewhere along the line it fell apart because the case file was not available in court today.
