Police found a man with a firearm on Albert Street on Saturday afternoon. It happened around two. Police were in a mobile patrol when they saw 19-year-old US national, Nathaniel Bowen, acting suspiciously. The police said that when he saw them, Bowen sped away on his bicycle. Police set chase. That led unto George Street where the he threw a gun into a yard. When police retrieved the weapon it was a Smith and Wesson 9 millimeter pistol loaded with 7 rounds.
He was today charged with keeping a firearm and ammunition without a license. He pleaded not guilty but was denied bail. He was remanded until June 10th.
