A jury of 9 women and 3 men deliberated for about four and a half hours today in the court of Justice Troadio Gonzalez before it found twenty five year old Llewellyn Williams and twenty three year old Aaron King not guilty of the murder of thirty four year old Russian Alexis Goloubev who was stabbed multiple times on December 31st, 2005.

Goloubev's partly decomposed body was found in his apartment in King's Park by Pamela Pyne on January 2nd, 2006.

A post mortem done by Dr. Hugh Sanchez the following day revealed that Goloubev was stabbed fifteen times with a knife and he died from multiple stab wounds, particularly the one that penetrated his brain.

Williams had given police an oral confession and King had given police a written confession statement which was not signed by him. Both the oral statement and the written statement were admitted as evidence. A knife which the police believe was the murder weapon, was admitted as exhibit at the trial.

Williams gave a statement from the dock in which he said he was not involved in the incident in any way. King took the witness stand and testified that police came to his house on February 18th, 2006 and accused him of killing Goloubev and wanted him to sign a confession statement but he refused.

King also testified that police took him to a street and told him to get the knife used to kill Goloubev from a grassy area but he refused. King was represented by Attorney Michael Peyrefitte while Williams was represented by Attorney Ellis Arnold. Crown Counsel Yohhanseh Cave represented the prosecution.
