But one man who will be charged tomorrow is 25 year old Glenford Grant, who is accused of doing the unthinkable: he beat up his 80 year old father on Friday; the senior citizen died from his injuries 24 hours later. On Friday afternoon at 2:00, 80 year old Cliffton Grant, was sitting in a sofa at his home at #5 Oleander Street when his son started an argument with him. A 12 year old who was at home told police that his son Glenford started kicking and hitting him repeatedly. The child ran to a neighbor for help and that's when police and an ambulance were called. Grant was hospitalized in a coma - which he never regained consciousness from; he died at noon on Saturday. Today his daughters told us about their pain and outrage.

Sandra Hyde, daughter of deceased

"He was very humble. He was always in his little corner. He doesn't deserve to get this that was done to him."

Jules Vasquez
"How did he get to die like this if he is an outstanding, easygoing man. How did he get such a violent, unthinkable end, to be killed by his own son?"

Sandra Hyde
"Because in this life, when you spoil your children and you don't know how, they turn into a beast. Some demon must have taken him over when he asks my father for something and he couldn't get it so he just took his frustration out of my father."

Shelly Sanchez, daughter of deceased

"I was at the hospital in the morning, Saturday morning. I was so devastated, so furious to know that it comes from own family member, my brother."

Sandra Hyde
"I would want to say to my brother that God have mercy on him. Only he knows what he did that for and I hope one day you can tell me why did you do it."

Grant was taken to court today but he was not charged due to a problem with the paperwork. He is expected to be returned to court tomorrow.
