Thirty seven year old Air Traffic Controller, Marvin Polanco, who allegedly knocked down and killed Nestor Flores on April 30th, 2009 was charged with manslaughter by negligence when he appeared today in the Number 3 Magistrate's court. Polanco was also charged with causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care and attention and driving a motor vehicle without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road. No plea was taken from him because the offences are indictable. Polanco was released on a bail of Five thousand dollars and his case was adjourned until June 25th. According to the allegation, Polanco was driving his Toyota pick-up truck on the Western highway when he knocked down Flores between miles Ten and Eleven.
