Police have charged four men who were intercepted on their way to pull off what looks like it would have been a major crime move - in fact, police say they were equipped for murder.
Acting on intelligence, on Monday evening at 7:37 - police intercepted this blue four door crown Victoria taxi at the shell Gas Station in Ladyville Village.
46 year old Taxi driver Floyd Davis from 8 miles on the Western highway was the driver and his passengers were 26 year old Belama Phase II resident Jamal Tablada, 19 year old Jarrett Usher an unemployed of Vista Del Mar and Tevin Abraham an 18 year old from Plues Street in Belize City.
Police ordered them out but only Davis, the driver complied - and according to reports, one of the men, Jarrett Usher was looking to pull his gun on the police. Lucky that he didn't because it turned out to be a very deadly weapon, a 40 millimeter Taurus pistol loaded with ten live rounds of 40 millimeter ammunition.
Police searched Tevin Abraham and they found him also with a 40 mm, his one was a Glock 23, loaded with (13) rounds.

And inside the car, they found a machine gun, specifically an H.K 91 loaded with 20 live rounds of 7.62mm rounds.
Further searches inside the turned up 21 live rounds of 40 mm and 7 live rounds of 7.62, 3 black shirts, 1 black mask, 1 pair of camouflage pants, 1 black cap, 4 pairs of transparent rubber gloves, one GPS, one compass and one cellular phone.
Police also found dog food - which they believe may have been part of the criminal conspiracy. It's clear they were going on a major move - but police intelligence does not suggest just what or who was the target.
They were this evening charged for 1 Kept Prohibited Firearm and 2 Kept prohibited ammunition. We have also seen a charge sheet which says they will be charged for preparation for a crime, namely to commit murder. They are expected to be arraigned tomorrow.....
