There was a traffic accident on Coney Drive early this morning. It happened at around 9:30. It involved a 17 year old minor. The minor was driving a white Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV on Coney Drive - heading in the direction towards Buttonwood Bay. While approaching a brown Chevy Blazer - driven by Gilbert Pilgrim - he made attempts to overtake the vehicle. That was when the blazer suddenly turned left causing both the vehicles to collide. The minor who was driving without a valid driver's license then fled the scene. He returned after on the scene. The minor has since been summoned for the offences of Driving without a valid driver's license and use of a motor vehicle not covered by a third party risk insurance. The minor couldn't be charged for the offences today because the Magistrate's Court was closed early.
