Police Say: He Shot Shenelle

Police have arrested and charged 18 year old Ibraham Smith for Manslaughter in connection with the death of 17 year old fourth form student Shennelle Reyes. We understand that Smith who went on the run after the killing turned himself into police yesterday.

Sources tell Seven News that he was hiding at the house of another Sadie Vernon student - who was also Shennelle's classmate.

17 year old Shennelle Reyes was shot and killed at her home on Tuesday night. Smith was allegedly playing with a sawed off shotgun - and pointed it at the young girl - who slapped it away - which caused the gun to fire - hitting her at point black range to her chest.
