Peter King Contreras is accused of one of the most outlandish murders of the year; he confessed to killing his mother in law and then driving around with her in the car for hours.
Today the 39 year old businessman and owner of King's Cuisine in Ladyville, was charged with the murder of his mother-in-law, 50 year old Argentina Garcia Aravela, when he appeared today in Magistrate's Court.
Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie remanded him into custody until December 23.
According to the allegation on Monday December 13, King strangled Aravela then put her body in the back seat of his car, apparently with the intention to dispose of it. The police reported that they found him with the woman's body in his car around 4:20 a.m yesterday at the junction of Airport Road and the Northern Highway.
Police report that he confessed to them that he had killed her.
