83 year old Doctor Robert Wyckoff, he's a doctor of psychiatry and law, but all those smarts couldn't prevent him from getting taken for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Nevada resident says he placed his confidence in a Cayo pastor, Hector Mar, and ended up having his money unaccounted for, and his projects mismanaged.

He's been meeting face to face with Mar for the past two days at the Cayo police station with the mediation of Sr. Superintendent Chester Williams.

And they managed to work something out: Mar returned one hundred thousand dollars that he had in the bank to Wyckoff, with the understanding that Wyckoff would pursue the other hundred thousand dollars that he feels Mar has for him, in a civil suit.

That's what they agreed to at the police station and we found Wyckoff today in Belize City, happy to have his hundred grand back, but still wanting more:…

"That is correct."

Jules Vasquez
"Do you have some satisfaction from that?"

Dr. Robert Wyckoff, victim
"Well it helps because it enables us to continue with our milk program for the kids."

Jules Vasquez
"Now however this is not an end."

Dr. Robert Wyckoff, victim
"No, we have contacted two attorneys on both civil and criminal questions. The attorneys are surprise that we are not obtaining any sort of action in the criminal field, but we are continuing with a civil suit too."

Jules Vasquez
"No, you will speak with the DDP, I understand criminal complaints have been made. You have made a criminal complaint, workers have made complaints, so you will seek the intersession of the DPP office, am I right?"

Dr. Robert Wyckoff, victim
"Yes that's correct."

Jules Vasquez
"Am I to understand that the reason you are seeking this direct intersession of the DDP office is because it's clear that the police have no intention of laying charges against Mr. Mar."

Dr. Robert Wyckoff, victim
"Well they have been slow to act and I get the impression that they probably are not going to proceed with the criminal process and I think a criminal process is an order."

Jules Vasquez
"Do you think Mr. Mar is being insolated to some degree because perhaps he has friends in high places?"

Dr. Robert Wyckoff, victim
"That would just be an inference, I can't say that. It is consistent with what is happening."

Jules Vasquez
"Taking the long view - you said that you will make every effort to intervene and have the DPP bring criminal charges. Do you want him to go to court? To go to jail?"

Dr. Robert Wyckoff, victim
"I think he has earned that privilege but I can only request it."

As part of the settlement with police, Wyckoff also agreed to return items that Mar had left on his farm. Wyckoff lives in the United States and only visits occasionally…..
