Students Under Corozal Bus Stop Injured By Drunk Driver

Corozal - are considered lucky to be alive - after a vehicle ran into a bus stop the three where sitting on Monday evening. It happened around 4:35 on the highway in the village of Calcutta.

One of the students is identified as Nayeli Tun, who received cuts to her neck and a cut wound to her head- after the bus stop collapsed on top of her. Quick police response led to the driver of the vehicle, Florentino Solis of Caledonia Village who has since been taken before the Corozal Magistrate court where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop and render aid, and driving without due care and attention.
