And in a chilling near-coincidence, another security guard was very seriously injured after midnight last night - and it happened right around the corner from that Western Union Office on Regent Street.

At About 12:30 am, 57 year old Rene Garbutt was on duty at the CBC compound on Southern Foreshore when indications are that a group of men tried to rob him possibly of his weapon.

Not much is known because when police got there, Garbutt was bleeding profusely from had multiple stab wounds: including injuries to his face, and his hands.

He is in a critical condition at the KHMH.

When we tried to find out if it had been captured on security camera, the company declined comment.
