Thirty two year old Wyatt Anderson who was found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter for the fatal stabbing of 27 year old Robert Brown, was sentenced to 14 years today by Justice Adolph Lucas.

Justice Lucas was going to sentence Anderson to 15 years, but subtracted a year for time already served in custody. Anderson's attorney, Ernest Staine, said that there were no character witnesses because Anderson did not assist him with the plea for mitigation.

He said Anderson refused to assist with the mitigation because Anderson believed he should have been exonerated. Brown was fatally stabbed on November 22nd, 2008 during an altercation with Anderson at the corner of Curassow Street and Racoon street.

According to the evidence, Anderson had gone to see Brown to inquire what had happened between Brown and his sister.
