Twenty one year old Erwin Adolphus, an unemployed residing at mile four and a half on the Northern Highway who allegedly pointed a firearm at a 16 year old girl, was charged with aggravated assault when he appeared today in Magistrate's court. Adolphus pleaded not guilty.

Because it is a firearm offence, he was remanded into custody until April 18th.

It happened last Friday, February 18th when the girl, a high school student, reported to the police that she was standing by her back door when Adolphus rode up on a bicycle.

She said Adolphus took out a firearm from the pocket of his pants, pointed it in her face and told her she does not know what he would like to do to her. The girl said she feared for her life so she closed the door and went inside and called the police.
