A businesswoman of Perez road in Ladyville was stabbed to her neck on Saturday night. According to Bridget Garcia it happened around 7 o'clock in her yard - when two men came to her house asking for tamales. Garcia who sells tamales for a living told us she took their order but before the men left -one of them stabbed her for no reason.

"Friday night about 7 o' clock, two gentlemen; a dark skin and a dark short and buff one. one of them say that they want tamales. They say that they want an order for April 1st, 2011 then they say that they will come back, then they walk away, while they were walking away the buff man approach me and stab me in the neck. They run off by the gate, we chase after them but we couldn't catch them. They took off in a car because the neighbors saw."

"Yes at Delmark Hardware. On Friday I call the police but no one turn up as yet. I told the police that the guys slippers were left here and they still haven't turn up as yet, so no justice as yet."

"So the police didn't arrive as yet?"

"They say no mobile as usual. According to what I see they are doing the wrong things. Every time I go there, the police don't have any mobile. Someone could be dying, people could be getting away."

"Are you fearful for your life?"

"No, I am not afraid for my life, I can't stop whatever they want to do but I am still happy and everything. I am still smiling as you see me smiling, it's something serious but I can't make that hamper my life. I have to move on and if it happens later on then it just will happen. You can't stop it. It like what the saying goes: 'God is not sleeping' so I just do the right things in life all the time although people don't appreciate it."

"Exactly there is no doubt in that."

Garcia says she is still waiting for the police to visit her home - since they haven't showed up as yet.
