A man was killed in the city last night, executed in the street. But what's worse is that the killers went looking for him as he was leaving the wake of 27 year old Andrew Moses who was gunned down last week. And you can add one more disturbing coincidence to that: he was killed on his 27th. birthday.
And, as in the case of Moses, the family of 27 year old Raymundo Chun says that he was not affiliated with any gang - even though his killing has all appearances of a gang related execution.
Monica Bodden found out more from his family today - who have lost many to the war in the streets:…

This layer of sand covers the spot where 27 year old Reymundo Chun fell last night after he was shot behind his left ear.
It happened around 11 o'clock on Faber's Road Extension.
Chun had just left from the wake of Andrew Moses on Central American Boulevard - and was walking on Faber's Road extension when two men pulled up from behind him on separate bicycles and one fired a single shot at him.
According to neighbors, they heard they heard when the gunshot rang off.
Voice of Neighbour
"All I hear was a bang sounding like a tire burst and an alarm came on of a car that was out there. So I immediately jump up - I was lying there, I immediately jump up and push open the window. My wife told me not to go outside because somebody just got shot. I said "cho" she said yes, he is right down there on the ground in the yard. I shut back the door and I went to peep through the window and then I see the body down there. The body was of a light skin person, so I thought that it was a tenant downstairs there - the fry chicken man, so I ran outside and when I went downstairs I see a person and then I say it's not "Tito" but it look like "Mundo" but when I got a closer look along with a neighbor it was "Mundo". So I say well please don't touch him, just wait until the police come because at that time I thought he was dead. I came upstairs and sat on that bench looking the crowd that was coming over. The police came with a light and saw that he got shot in his head. After a while I see his belly start going up and down and I say that that man is still alive, so I told the police that they should take him to the hospital because he is still alive - maybe he can get help. After a while I say that maybe they better wait for the ambulance because the medics in the ambulance would know how to deal with a situation like that. A while after the ambulance came and they took him and the last I heard is that the doctors were operating on him because he is still alive."
Chun was taken away to the KHMH where he fought to stay alive for almost 6 hours. At 5 o'clock this morning he succumbed to his injury. Chunn died on his 27th birthday.
For Ernesto Quinote, he has endured the pain of losing 2 of his cousins to gun violence. And now his younger brother - who he says is not affiliated with any gang. And so he just doesn't understand why someone would want to take his life.
Ernesto Quinote, Brother

"He doesn't hurt anybody, he doesn't trouble anybody."
Monica Bodden
"You think that he was under the influence last night? You think he was drunk last night?"
Ernesto Quinote, Brother
"He wasn't drunk, maybe a little. His friend took him to his death, he took my brother to a wake and when I was going to work this morning I see my brother slippers on the ground where he was shot. I ask a neighbor who hurt my brother. She says that two men shot my brother and left him there to die."
The last time Quinote saw his brother alive was last night.
Monica Bodden
"When was the last time you saw "Mundo"?"
Ernesto Quinote, Brother
"Last night."
Monica Bodden
"That was the last time. Did he tell you where he was going?"
Ernesto Quinote, Brother
"He say that he was going to a wake. After the wake the boys trail him down and shot him. Because I ask one of my neighbor - which one of the boy they shot last night from around here and she say that it was two boys on bike and they just took "Mundo" life unnecessary. I would want a little help - justice."
Diana, Sister

"Somebody kills him innocently 'mammy' he is not a problem to say that he will go to rob somebody or something like that. He don't mess with anybody. But just by word cause his death."
Monica Bodden
"You guys want justice?"
Diana, Sister
"In deed yes we want justice because a lot of violent youths are about."
Monica Bodden
"Do you need help to bury him?"
Diana, Sister
"Yes we need help."
His sister Dianna is still trying to cope with the loss.
Diana, Sister
"They chance him out of his rights. They chance him 'mammy' I tell you they chance him out of his life. They really chance him. (Crying). They just shot my brother just like that. They just shot him like a dog on the street. There is no justice in this country, even from the government. Nobody we can't get justice from. But on my behalf I can't do anything but just bury my brother. All of us have to get together and ask for help, for a little assistance."
Ernesto Quinote, Brother
"They kill my brother and we need justice right now. We need help to bury my brother."
The family of Reymundo Chun is asking for the assistance of anyone who can help them with the burial of their loved one. Their family home was recently burnt down on November second of last year and since then the family has been struggling. If you would like to assist them you can do so at telephone number 666-7375.
