Acquitted For 9mm Under Seat

Three persons charged with kept firearm and ammunition without a gun license were acquitted of the charges today in the Magistrate's Court.

They are 22 year old Orel Leslie, 22 year old Phillip Smith and 19 year old Justin Roches. There were charged after police intercepted a vehicle they were driving in on Freetown road on January 10th and found a loaded 9 millimeter pistol under the driver's seat.

Magistrate Aretha Ford acquitted them after Leslie's cousin, Dennis Leslie testified that he left his licensed 9 millimeter pistol under the driver's seat of the vehicle and the occupants had no knowledge that it was there.
