Felipe Martinez has been at the forefront of the squatter movement since it started - and yesterday he was one of the persons thrown in the police pickup truck - along with his 14 year old son Santos Martinez.
Tonight they are still in police lockdown pending charges and their attorney told us he thinks police wants to keep them the full 48 hours…

"When I went to visit Felipe and his son yesterday I was told that the officer who was going to charge them wasn't at the police station at the time. Over 24 hours have passed and I have been given a similar excuse that he is not there. The officer says that they will not charge the men until tomorrow Friday, so they will make the men spend their 48 hours in jail."

"It's a man and a boy."
Anthony Sylvestre
"Yes but that 48 hours in which a citizen is allowed to be detain is not something that police should invoke and use just so."
According to attorney Anthony Sylvestre, the pair were set to be released at 2:00 this afternoon but that could not be confirmed at the time of airing.
