Corozal Police arrest two Corozal residents for stabbing murder

Police have also made arrests in the gruesome stabbing death of a Corozal man. Investigators have charged Leonides Campos and Joseph Romero, both of Corozal town, with Murder in connection to the death of twenty-five year old Santos Ramirez. As we initially reported, Ramirez's body was found on July 21st between miles seventy and seventy-one on Northern Highway, between the villages of Buena Vista and Santa Clara. His throat had been slashed and he had been stabbed multiple stab wounds to the chest and back. 7News understand the motive of the attack was a difference of opinion.
