Usually persons who are charged with offences, for which bail can granted, try their best to avoid going to prison. But that was not the case with 28 year old Kenrick Hendricks, a laborer of Hattieville who was arraigned on charges of burglary and handling stolen goods today in the Magistrate's Court.

Hendricks pleaded not guilty to the charges and the prosecutor objected to bail on the grounds that the offences have become prevalent. But the prosecutor's objection was not necessary. Hendricks told the Magistrate, Roberto Ordonez that he does not want any bail because he wants to go to prison to take a rest.

As a result, Magistrate Ordonez remanded him to prison until November 18. Hendricks is accused of breaking into the house of his neighbor, Stacey Rogers and stealing one DVD player. The incident occurred on October 3. The police reported that later the same day they recovered the DVD player from Hendricks.
