Man Who Killed Schoolteacher Gets Ten Years

A man who killed a Corozal school teacher will serve 10 years for the crime. 28 year old San Narciso labourer Hilberto Hernandez was sentenced today by Justice Dennis Hanomansingh in the Corozal Supreme Court.

Hernandez was originally charged for murder but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Castillo was strangled to death with a wire in October of 2009 in his Corozal Town home. He had also been stabbed twice in the abdomen.
