GSU Finds GUN

And even though the gangs are keeping the peace, the Gang Suppression unit is keeping busy.

This morning between 7:30 and 9:00, the GSU searched the home of 24 year old Emerson Lincoln TRAPP, at #1 Pelican Street.

The structure itself is not much to talk about: it is merely a small, one-bedroom shack.

But inside, police say Trapp was concealing a weapon. It is a HK Brand 9 millimeter pistol loaded with nine rounds in the clip, and an additional nine rounds stuffed inside a black plastic bag. All of it - police say - was discovered hidden between the mattress and the bed inside the bedroom.

TRAPP - who gave his occupation as a musician - was arrested and charged for kept unlicensed firearm and kept unlicensed ammunition.
