And to follow up on a story we first reported on Friday night, the family of 60 year old taxi man Fernando Antonio Cowo says they do not know why he was killed.

As we reported, he was found dead on the San Andres Road in Corozal - he had been stabbed multiple times to the stomach and chest.

Today we spoke to his common law wife in Orange Walk to ask her if she knows any reason why anyone would want him dead. She says she had lunch with him on Friday, and when he left at 1:30, there was no sign of trouble - and certainly no sign that he would be found cruelly killed three hours later.

Here are her words via phone and through a translator:

Voice of: Benita Rosado, wife of deceased
"He had no enemies. He never interferes with anyone. He was not at home. He was out on his normal taxi routine, and they called him to go do a job. Do you know how much money he had? No, I can't give you that information. They took his purse, and he never used to tell me how much he had in his purse. He is my husband, and he always said that he would never take somebody he didn't know. So, I don't know why he trusted. I don't know if it's someone he knows or if it's someone he doesn't know, because he has always told me this."

Police have not released any information on this murder.
