Last week - it made headlines in every media outlet when a man was knocked down and killed by his baby's mother.
Well tonight there's more baby-mama-drama to report on - though thankfully, it is not as serious.
A woman is under investigation for setting fire to the home of her baby's father in Ladyville. Monica Bodden found out how it happened.
Monica Bodden Reporting
The fire happened here in Ladyville - almost in front of the Fire Station - at this small family residential community.
Kevin Burgess - the owner of the wooden bungalow house was across the street at the gas station at the time. A little after 10 last night, Burgess Mother say she saw his baby mama entered the yard and went behind his house.
Shortly after, another family recalled seeing her leave. That was when they notice the small wooden structure completely engulfed in flames. The fire spread rapidly destroying everything in just minutes.
Caroline Quilter - Mother of Arson Victim

"My niece and I were on the verandah, and we were talking. While we having our conversation, we saw when the young lady came into the yard - a young lady who used to live with my son - and the first thing she did was to park her bike nearest to the front of the house where I usually do my cooking. She walked to the back, and niece went across her house - because she lives next door - a little bit after, my son who lives in this house, started to shout fire. I started to tell my family to get up because there's a fire. I shouted for my niece, and she told me that she saw her when she was going in the house. My son went and shouted across to the fire station. The truck came right away, but the house was already completely up in flames."
Monica Bodden
"So you guy managed to save nothing at all."
Caroline Quilter
"Nothing, everything was destroyed. It happened so fast that we couldn't save anything. Everything my son owned was destroyed. All he has is the suit of clothes on his back."
The fire department investigation team has ruled the cause of the fire as arson. According to a fire official, their investigation reveals that someone opened the rare window of the house and threw a flammable liquid inside the bedroom.
And for this family, they strongly believe the fire was set by a bitter baby mama - who they claimed also just minutes before the incident - stabbed all 4 tires on Burgess vehicle and shattered one of the side view mirror. Just weeks ago, they said, the same baby mama also shattered the vehicle's windshield. That incident was not reported to police.
Caroline Quilter
"It's so sad because they have children together."
Monica Bodden
"So you strongly believe that this young lady burnt down your son's house."
Caroline Quilter
"Yes, I strongly believe that because she recognized me standing on the verandah. She passed and came all the way back here. So, I strongly believe that she is the one who caused the fire."
Kevin Burgess - Fire Victim

"Yes, I believe she burnt it because she threatened me before she did. And she was always threatening me with it. I thought that she was just talking because she wouldn't really do a thing like that. I never expected that she would do something like this."
Monica Bodden
"When was the last time she threatened you."
Kevin Burgess
"Last night, just before she came here, I was buying gas, and she threatened me. I took it lightly, and I found my house on fire. So, I know that she did it. When I came she was hurriedly riding away back to her mother's house. She didn't even look my direction."
And tonight Kevin Burgess is homeless as police continues to investigate the incident. It is a rather frustrating situation for the father of 3 - but he says all he want is justice.
Kevin Burgess
"I feel frustrated right now. I have my kids and nowhere to put them. It's confusing right now because it's my baby's mother. I don't know what to do."
The fire has been ruled as arson. We understand that Burgess's Ex was detained by police as she was boarding a bus.
