One of the persons who has a privileged insight into all these shootings is Roger Anthony. He's the reputed leader of the Ghost Town gang. He's also one of the supervisors working on the Chetumal Street Bridge, as part of the outreach efforts between Government and Cisco Construction to keep embattled neighbourhoods busy. The idea is to provide them with an outlet and an opportunity so that they won't focus gang-related activities.
The brazen shooting at the Graduation party, which was thrown for his daughter who recently graduated, also injured one of Anthony's relatives. It is believed that the party was targeted because of the Ghost Town connection. Now with the shooting of Rafael Cruz right at the base of Ghost Town, it would seem that the rivalry is escalating.
But, today Anthony told Monica Bodden, he has no intentions of retaliating. He asked to appear off camera - we're using a still form an interview he gave us last week:

"I don't really know what transpired with the shooting that happened on Saturday. My daughter graduate and I had a party for her and two gunman came and open fire on the party. I dont really know."

"You know if you were the target at that party?"
Voice of: Roger Anthony
"I don't really know, but it was only us there that is gang member, you know... I think.."

"To your knowledge that night, everybody was having a good time and then chaos."
Voice of: Roger Anthony
"Yes everybody was having a good time. We were enjoying ourselves - we are happy and everyone are happy for my daughter and my niece who graduated - just chaos happened."

"Does this mean war?"
Voice of: Roger Anthony
"No, this doesn't mean any war. We are still working today. We were supposed to work yesterday, but we just took a day off and we came to work today and it doesn't matter."

"Nothing changes?"
Voice of: Roger Anthony
"Nothing change anything. We are still going to work. I would try to push positive things - same thing that I am telling; we are not going to retaliate or anything."

"In terms of what went on that night, innocent kids could have gotten hurt."

"Its just the father put it that way that nobody got hurt. They got hurt, but still mess up their minds."

"How is your daughter taking it?"

"She is okay, she is taking it alright."

"On your part, there isn't any retaliation?"

"No, no retaliation. We are doing positive things."
